Chiropractic Success—Secret A

A is for attitude. What is your attitude grade? Wouldn’t you like to know–if a non-biased person, who is an expert in successful attitudes, graded you? Whatever your grade is, and in reality only you know, will be in direct proportion to the success of your office
A story I often share with my kids goes like this: Once an old, wise villager was outside the village gates beside the road working one morning. Along came a traveler who stopped and said, “I have left my village to move to a new one, I was wondering what this village is like, could you tell me?” The old, wise villager looked up at the man and asked, “What was your previous village like?” The traveler replied, “Well that is why I am here, the last village was terrible. The people there were awful, everyone had bad attitudes, many were mean, it was just ridiculous, I had to get out of there.” “I see,” replied the old man, “Well this village is just exactly like your old one.” So the traveler shook his head and moved on down the road. A little while later that same morning along comes another traveler. He stopped and said, “Good morning, I have left my village in search of a new place to live, I was wondering if you could tell me what this one was like?” Again, the old, wise villager looked up and asked, “What was your previous village like?” The traveler replied, “Oh, it was wonderful. The people were so nice and what a loving group they were. Everyone seemed to be so positive and full of joy, I only left because God instructed me to seek a new place to live.” “Ah,” the old, wise villager replied, “This village is exactly like your old one.”
I tell this story to my children to get across the point, that life, or a situation is usually a direct reflection of their attitude toward it. Life is a mirror I tell them, what they present to the world is reflected back at them or, you get what you give!
We make many choices in our lives and our attitude is a choice. We can choose to be a master or a victim of our attitudes. It is up to us–blessing or curse. As the old saying goes, “Misery is an option!”
Your attitude will determine your altitude!
Here is the ultimate question I have for myself, my kids, and for you. Does everything change your attitude, or does your attitude change everything?
