The Successful Chiropractor Has and Gives HOPE!

Today I utilizing one of the copies of the 1961 ICA Journals (International Review of Chiropractic at that time) that I found in storage recently. As I have said before, I have so enjoyed reading these and relating to how many things in the profession are still the same today as they were nearly 50 years ago. I will be tagging onto a Dr. William Harris (God rest is soul) article from the June 1961 International Review of Chiropractic magazine. It is titled “One Thing You Always Have For Patients – HOPE” and I have included it below for you to see first hand.
Hope is a key ingredient for a successful chiropractor today as it was in 1961, or in 1901 for that matter. Hope is power for the human psyche, without we are truly nothing. Science has proven it many times and life certainly reflects it on a daily basis. Chiropractic patients come into your office everyday for no other reason than hope. “Doc I sure hope you can help me”, “You are my last hope” we hear many times. And who has greater hope for patients than we do in Chiropractic Practice? We work specifically with the power of innate given to every patient that walks thru our doors. We as chiropractors live based on the hope that if we can find the subluxation and remove it, the proper nerve flow will be restored, and the patient’s all knowing innate can heal the body. Nothing gives more hope to a patient than the chiropractic principle. Make sure you are sharing it with them in your offices rather than discussing the weather or politics. Please click on and enjoy the article from the late, great Dr. Harris and then I will close.
Well said Dr. Harris, your legacy lives on.
We in the profession must have and use hope weather in our chiropractic practice, our chiropractic advertising, or in chiropractic management of the patient. This has not changed in 50 years and will not over the next 50, so make sure you give out a little hope to each and every patient each and every day.
I challenge you to put hope into your patient management system and see what happens in your practice. Give hope by talking about chiropractic! And think about this, if you don’t give them hope, who will?
