Who is Responsible for Your Chiropractic Success?

Today’s post will be a bit different than the typical content you have become accustomed from me. I had the privilege to hear one of the best sermons ever on one of the greatest life success principles…..taking responsibility! So today I am going to share some bits and pieces with you about this principle and will have the link for you to go to my church’s website where you can check out the podcast if you choose to do so. I am not trying to force anything “religious” on you but I have never heard it explained any better. Whether you are a Christ follower or not, the principle remains the same.
As soon as we decide to take up and own our responsibilities, then and only then can their be progress. We tend to be irresponsible, and that means that someone has to be responsible for us…….taking the blame if you will or having to take over our responsibility for us. In our practices, we want to blame the insurance companies, the government, our market, “the people in my area”, our education, and so forth. When in reality our practice is our responsibility and what is happening inside of the walls is our responsibility, or irresponsibility.
Here is my example: A patient comes in with a subluxation, been there a long time, has the degenerative process going full steam ahead, and we being a patient and insurance company pleaser see the patient for just enough visits to get them out of pain (and of course that is all the insurance would pay for), and on their way they go with the degenerative process still continuing leading to whatever future health problems it may for this patient. Irresponsible! As a result of our irresponsibility, the patient will have to bear the responsibility of the future consequences! And likely the medical profession will be the ones that ultimately have to take responsibility for helping the patient with the health situation that ultimately ensues.

Enuf said by me, I think you get the point. There are 1,000′s of examples inside our practices and lives that I could go into. Here is the link I promised to the video podcast. It’s worth your time to take a few minutes and watch/listen. Enjoy being responsible, it’s the best way to be!
