The Chiropractic Roller Coaster

Have you ridden the Rockin’ Roller Coaster at Disney World’s Hollywood Studios? Not me! Nope not going to either. I enjoy control, and yes maybe can be a control freak sometimes, but I’m working on that. The rest of my family run right to the Rockin’ Roller Coaster as soon as we enter that park. I usually just people watch, think, and analyze all the things that Disney does to make it Disney. When we were there a few weeks ago as I sat on a bench thinking, it came to me that though most people love to get on a roller coaster at a theme park, I have yet to find a chiropractor that enjoys riding the “roller coaster practice”. Been there, done that!
When your practice is like a roller coaster, it tends to produce two emotions. One, the thrill and exhilaration of the great month, two, the rock bottom frustrated feeling of the down month. Trying to manage your emotions, your business, your checkbook, your family finances gets on the crazy cycle.
All practices will have some peaks and valleys from month to month. The difference of a well managed and controlled practice is that the peaks are a lot higher and the valleys not so cavernous. Practice for chiropractors is a lot more fun when your low (valley) month is still thousands above your monthly nut. And it is really fun when your peak months are tens of thousands over the monthly nut!
How? My answer was incorporating a system into my chiropractic practice. A system that was set up for and allowed me to regain control. A system that removed the day to day frustrations of practicing and at the same time over doubled my income while not compromising my integrity or my standard of excellence for patient care. In fact, it improved both! I got off the roller coaster! You can too. Control, consistency, and stability are the secrets!
Guess one of my missions in life is to stay off roller coasters……and to help as many chiropractors get off of them as possible!!!
