Great Chiropractic Expectations

Great Chiropractic Expectations

Today let’s talk about your expectations. Do you know that your expectations determine outcomes? I’ve seen it too many times to not believe it. The greatest example I know of in chiropractic is when two practitioners utilizing chiropractic argue of what results they may see or not see. One practitioner says they never see a certain condition improve, or they say, they never see any type of organic condition improve, only musculoskeletal. While the other practitioner is seeing all kinds of patients with organic conditions clearing up and has those patients testifying and singing them praises. How can that be? From what I have seen, I think is as simple as expectations. One chiropractor doesn’t believe the patient’s condition will get better, while the other one does.

I myself do not understand how chiropractors can practice for years and then make a statement to me as one did, “I’ve never seen anything but musculoskeletal improvements”. Really? You have never had a patient come in and ask, “Doctor, do you think what we are doing could have something to do with my irritable bowel clearing up?” Expectations are powerful, call it faith if you want. All I know is the chiropractors that expect their patients to get well see that exact thing happening in reality while those that don’t see the opposite reality.

We can take this from clinical results to getting new patients, receiving referrals, having compliant patients, and getting paid for your services. It is all affected by your expectations.

Are you expecting what you want to see? Or have you let other factors come in to make your expectations less than they should be.

Be the best and expect the best and you will get the best!
